Tuesday, June 4

Accident: At 3:32 p.m., police went to the CVS parking lot off Route 101 after a pickup truck being backed out of a parking spot hit a parked car. Neither vehicle had significant damage and both were driven away.

Wednesday, June 6

Criminal mischief: At 1:47 p.m., police took a report from a Grove Street business that the rear wall of a wooden outbuilding had been burned, probably with a lighter or matches. There was no major damage to the building.

Complaint: At 7:08 p.m., after getting a report of a very loud dirt bike being driven on Turnpike Road in Sharon, police spoke to the owner of the dirt bike and warned him not to drive it on a public road.

Arrest: At 8:09 p.m., police got a report that a Peterborough man had left a business in Hillsborough after an altercation. There was an arrest warrant out from the Merrimack Country Sheriff’s Office and the man, Sean Michael Lachance of Peterborough, was located at Riverview Apartments and arrested on the warrant for nonpayment of fees. He was unable to pay cash bail of $831.88 and was transferred to the custody of the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests: At 10:33 p.m., after investigating a report of two people who were allegedly squatting in a Jaffrey Road business at night, police arrested Christopher R. Hicks, 23, and Andrew C. Hicks, 22, both listed as homeless, and charged them with criminal trespassing. They were each released on $1,000 personal recognizance with July 8 court dates in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.

Thursday, June 6

Arrest: At 12:24 p.m., Amber Morse, 20, of Marlborough turned herself in on a warrant charging her with conduct after an accident. She was released on $800 personal recognizance with a July 8 court date.

Friday, June 7

Disorderly people: At 12:39 p.m., after getting a report of a disorderly person on Route 202 near Parmelee Drive, police spoke to two people and calmed the situation.

Arrest: At 9:14 p.m., police arrested Sarah Howard, 20, of Peterborough on a warrant charging her with driving after suspension. Howard was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 8 court date.

Saturday, June 8

Complaint: At 11:10 a.m., a Sharon resident complained about a dump truck on Spring Hill Road. He stated that he was there for an emergency with a septic system and would be gone in a couple of hours.

Criminal mischief: At 2:17 p.m., a Prescott Hill Apartments resident reported that a vehicle had been damaged in the parking lot.

Property found: At 9:40 p.m., a resident reported finding an Apple laptop computer in the parking lot at the library. Police determined it had been stolen from a vehicle that was parked in Depot Square earlier in the day.

Sunday, June 9

Assist: At 2:52 p.m., an Amherst man called on a cell phone and said he had become lost while climbing North Pack mountain. Police located him on East Mountain Road and gave the man and his dog a ride back to his car.

Noise complaint: At 3:56 p.m., a resident reported hearing shots on Four Winds Farm Road. Police checked the area and found several people on Old Dublin Road who had been shooting clay pigeons. They had finished shooting by the time police arrived.
