Tuesday, Nov. 26
Motor vehicle crash: At 5:54 p.m., dispatch was advised of a single-car accident involving a moose on Keene Road. Police responded and located the vehicle on the shoulder of Keene Road at the intersection of Reed Carr Road. Police observed the vehicle to have visible crush contact to the right side. The operator, Valerie Rude, 27, of Concord, was checked by Antrim Ambulance and signed off as refusing treatment. The vehicle, a 2005 Toyota Corolla, was able to be driven from the scene. Police checked the area of Keene Road into Stoddard and were unable to locate the moose.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
Motor vehicle crash: At 9:40 a.m., dispatch was advised of a two-car crash on Keene Road just west of Clinton Road. Upon arrival, police spoke with the operator of the 1996 Saturn SL2, Haley Lundgren, 20, of Freemont, who advised police that she hit a patch of black ice and collided with another vehicle, a 2010 Jeep Wrangler driven by Molly Brann, 46, of Antrim. There were no reported injuries. The Saturn sustained heavy front-center damage and had airbag deployment. It was towed from the scene. The Jeep sustained damage to the driver’s side door and rear bumper, but was able to be driven from the scene
Arrest: At 5:45 p.m., police were serving a subpoena to a Main Street resident when police observed David Nichols, 34, of Antrim at the residence. Police knew Nichols had bail conditions prohibiting him from having contact with the occupant. As a result, police arrested Nichols and charged him with violating bail conditions. Nichols was released on $5,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Dec. 19 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
Saturday, Nov. 30
Motor vehicle stop: At 12:10 a.m., police attempted to stop a vehicle on North Bennington Road for a broken taillight. The vehicle did not stop until it reached the transfer station in Bennington. Police gave the operator, Shawn Durgin, 23, of Antrim, a verbal warning for the broken tail light, and arrested and charged him with disobeying an officer for not stopping. Durgin was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Jan. 9 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
Motor vehicle stop: At 10:45 a.m., police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident by the library on Main Street with no injuries and minor damage of a small scratch. The accident involved Ronald Haggett, 76, of Antrim, operating a 2011 Ford Fusion, and John Conklin, 71, of Antrim, operating a 2013 Honda SU CRV, both of whom exchanged insurance information. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
