Daler, Leishman deserve your vote
To the editor:
We have a primary election on Sept. 9, and I’m asking you to vote for two experienced candidates who deserve your support. Jennifer Daler is a Democratic candidate for Executive Council District 5, which includes many of the towns covered by this paper. Jennifer served two terms in the N.H. House, on the Health and Human Services Committee. She is familiar with the need to properly utilize the federal funds that make up much of the state budget, and which the Executive Council authorizes.
She is a strong campaigner, having won back her House seat in Bill O’Brien’s district when a vacancy opened up after the 2010 election. She has already voted for the N.H. Rail Authority, an issue very important to Nashua. Jennifer Daler has always stood strong for women and working families.
Peter Leishman, an incumbent for state rep. in Peterborough, is a knowledgeable and practical legislator who has served seven terms. He serves on the Finance Committee, as vice-chair of division 1, where he has valuable in-depth understanding of the budgeting process. We may not have agreed on all issues, particularly gambling, but I know Peter’s views are well-informed and very pragmatic. Please join me in voting for Jennifer Daler and Peter Leishman on the Democratic ballot on Sept. 9. They have and will continue to serve us well.
