Tuesday, Sept. 3
Noise complaint: At 11:50 p.m., a Prescott Hill Apartments resident reported loud banging noises coming from a vacant apartment. The door was secure. Management was notified.
Wednesday, Sept. 4
Accident: At 3:55 p.m., Jodi L. Parker, 42, of Peterborough was driving a 2011 Jeep Compass eastbound in the passing lane of Route 101 just past Old Mountain Road, when the driver of the vehicle in front of her put on the left directional signal. Parker pulled into the right-hand lane, hitting a 2010 Ford Escape driven by Kelly Gilmore, 52, of Lyndeborough. Gilmore’s vehicle had minor damage to driver’s-side front fender and bumper. Parker’s vehicle had minor damage to the passenger-side rear bumper and quarter panel. Both vehicles were driven away. No one was injured.
Check the welfare: At 4:30 p.m., a resident reported that two small boys had been out by Route 202, after coming up to the road from the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center. The resident had stopped and taken the boys back. Police went to the center and found that two 3-year-old boys had gotten under the fence and walked out to the side of the road. Police checked the fence and saw that the pins that held it down had pulled out, and the children were able to crawl under the fence. Police advised day care staff to check all fences around the building.
Noise complaint: At 10:35 p.m., after getting a report about loud music on Union Street, police spoke to a guitar player who said he would turn down the volume.
Thursday, Sept. 5
Parking complaint: After getting a complaint about a crane parked in front of a Grove Street business for several hours, police spoke to the operator of the crane. He was told he could park there during normal business hours but not on weekends.
Arrest: At 9 p.m., following a traffic stop on Route 202 South, police arrested Steven M. Philbin, 33, of Dublin and charged him with operating after suspension and operating on a suspended registration. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance with an Oct. 7 court date in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
Friday, Sept. 6
Arrest: At 12:43 a.m., David. T. Pedreira, 30, of Pawcatuck, Conn., was arrested in Rhode Island on a Peterborough warrant charging him with stalking. He was extradited to New Hampshire and held at the Valley Street Jail in Manchester prior to arraignment, which was scheduled for Sept. 10 in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey. Pedreira is also being charged on warrants from Hillsborough County Superior Court and 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey, for failure to appear in court.
Accident: At 5:06 p.m., Demetric A. Mitchell, 39, of Jacksonville, Fla., driving a 2012 White tractor-trailer, drove the trailer over guardrails as he attempted to turn from Greenfield Road onto Route 202. The guardrails had heavy damage, and the right outer tires and wheels on the trailer were damaged and flattened.
Arrest: At 8:30 p.m., police arrested Evin Tracy, 18, of Hancock on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with an Oct. 7 court date.
Saturday, Sept. 7
Property damage: At 7:26 p.m., a Peterborough man reported that he had been in Casalis Forest off Elm Hill Road riding his mountain bike and when he came back to his car, the passenger side window was smashed in. Nothing was taken or disturbed in the car and there was no sign of a rock or other implement used to smash the window.
Monday, Sept. 9
Accident report: At 12:40 p.m., a resident reported that a man had backed into her parked vehicle at Monadnock Community Hospital, then turned his vehicle around, parked and walked into the hospital. Police were given a license number.
Illegal dumping: At 2:56 p.m., a Nashua woman reported that someone had dumped a load of shingles on her father’s property in Sharon.
