Nominations for civic leaders wanted
The Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Peterborough area’s 2014 Citizen of the Year and 2014 Business Leader of the Year, who will be recognized at a gala awards banquet at Monadnock Country Club on March 20, 2014.
The Citizen of the Year will be someone who has made significant contributions to the Greater Peterborough community in such areas as, but not limited to, community leadership, civic affairs, government, nonprofit programs and education.
The Business Leader of the Year will be someone who has made significant contributions to the economic vitality of the region. They need not be active in their profession, but must reside in the area served by the Greater Peterborough Chamber, which includes all of the Monadnock region.
Anyone may make a nomination, and nominees do not need to be members of the chamber. The chamber encourages all citizens to take the initiative in nominating deserving candidates they may know. Previous nominators may update and reactivate past nominations if they wish.
Applications are available at the chamber office at the intersection of Routes 101 and 202 in Peterborough, and online at PeterboroughChamber.com. All applications must be received at the chamber no later than 3 p.m. on Dec. 13. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 924-7234.
