Temple man seriously injured in 3-car crash

Police closed a section of Route 101 for about two hours on Friday night, after a three-vehicle accident near Russell Hill Road.

According to Wilton Police Chief Brent Hautanen, a westbound 2004 GMC pickup truck driven by Daniel J. Garnham, 34, of Temple crossed over the center line and hit two eastbound cars. Garnham’s truck first hit a 2011 Ford Escape driven by Douglas Lear, 55, of Merrimack., then ran head-on into a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Temple Ireland, 42, of Brookline.

Garnham, who had serious injuries, was taken by Wilton ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua. Lear was taken by Milford ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

A St. Joseph’s official said Monday that Garnham was at the hospital, in stable condition. Lear was treated and released on Friday.

Ireland was taken by Milford Ambulance to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, where he was treated and released.

Hautenan said Monday that the accident is under investigation by Wilton police.
