Granite State Panthers seeking new players

The Granite State Panthers High School football team is hoping to recruit more players for this season. The Panthers are an independent High School team that has players from New Ipswich, Rindge, Jaffrey, Wilton and Lyndeborough. They are looking for ninth through twelfth grade boys who have an interest in football. Eighth-graders can play if they make the age requirements.

The team originated several years ago so the students from these towns could benefit from playing high school football even though their high schools did not offer the team sport. The Panthers play other independent football teams throughout the state. The executive board is hoping to approach the school boards and inquire about making this count as a united high school program. Many other towns have done this with great success. In order to make this a reality, the Panthers will need to grow in numbers.

The Panthers’ players from the different towns have worked hard to create a solid team. The coaching staff has spent countless hours improving each player’s talent. They are looking forward to a successful season and hoping to see some new faces on the field. Check out their Facebook page for more information. If you are interested in joining, email
