Community Center Committee holds potluck, open mic May 24
WILTON — The Wilton Community Center Committee is inviting residents to enjoy some food and entertainment with a potluck community dinner and open mic night next Friday.
Residents are encouraged to bring a dish to add to the table, but it’s not a requirement.
Residents can simply come for the food, and if they feel motivated, to take their turn at the microphone. All forms of entertainment, from music, skits, readings or other creative endeavors are acceptable, so long as they are family-friendly.
“The Community Center is for all age groups and exists to bring our community together so that we can socialize and enjoy the company of one-another,” said Wilton Community Center Committee Chair Richard Mercier in a press release.
There is no charge for admission, but the center will be accepting donations of either cash in support of the community center or non-perishable food items for the Wilton Food Pantry.
The Wilton Community Center potluck and open mic will be held on May 24, starting at 6 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Church on Maple Street in Wilton.
