Two go to hospital after head-on crash on 101 in Milford
MILFORD — A young driver allegedly caused a head-on motor vehicle crash in the vicinity of the Milford-Wilton town line on Friday afternoon, after his car went over the yellow line.
Milford police, fire and ambulance crews responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash on Route 101, near the Wilton town line, on Friday at 4:37 p.m., according to a press release issued by the Milford Police Department on Monday. Maxim Sukharev-Chuyan, 17, of Temple was driving a 2005 Honda Civic westbound on Route 101 when he allegedly crossed into the eastbound lane, causing a head-on collision, the release says.
The driver of the second vehicle, Deborah Scott, 41, of Milford, was traveling eastbound in her 2004 Cadillac SRX. Both Sukharev-Chuyan and Scott were transported by ambulance from the scene. Sukharev-Chuyan was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for treatment and was later discharged. Scott was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where she is listed in stable condition, according to police. Neither vehicle was carrying any passengers.
Route 101 was closed for approximately an hour and a half following the accident, according to the release. The Milford Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to investigate. The accident remains under investigation.
