Letter: We can all work to save theater

To the editor:

We can do this. On Monday morning I checked Kickstarter and saw that we had raised $32,871 of the $45,000 we need to save our movie theater — the place where we go and take our kids and grandkids for first-run movies at a reasonable price; the place that’s willing to have special showings for our local non-profits; the place that’s been run by Roy and Judy Mills whose faces greet us whenever we go there; the place that’s housed in the historic original theater building.

The other thing I noticed on Kickstarter was that only 413 people had pledged. We can do better than that. You can pledge as little as $10 dollars. It’s easy to do. Just go to www.kickstarter.com/projects and do it soon. The deadline is April 3. We can do this, if we all give something.
