Being at ceremony was an honor

To the editor:

Many years ago, I was privileged to watch the changing of the guard at The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. This past weekend, I was privileged to observe the Color Guard of the Monadnock Sea Scouts at the Memorial Day ceremony in Temple. The young men (they were all men back then) in each of these ceremonies exhibited the poise, training, precision, and respect due our veterans.

I offer my thanks and encouragement to the Monadnock Sea Scouts for a job well done.
