Thanks for helping with Jaffrey Fair

The 97th First Church in Jaffrey Fair and the Children’s Fair were a great success on Aug. 7. On behalf of the Rev. Robert Kyte and the congregation, the First Church thanks the scores of people from the community and the church who made contributions of items and who volunteered to work on the fair, as well as the many hundreds of people who came to find bargains and to enjoy the children’s games and activities.

These contributions help the First Church donate a majority of the proceeds of the Fair to local charities.

Recipients of last year’s First Church Fair proceeds include the following: AIDS Service Monadnock Region Conant High School Scholarships; Home Health Care Hospice Jaffrey Elementary School; Jaffrey Emergency Fund Jaffrey Food Pantry; Jaffrey Girl Scouts Meals on Wheels; Monadnock Adult Care Center Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter; Monadnock Family Services Monadnock Area Psychotherapy and Spiritual; Monadnock Ctr for Violence Prevention Services; Shelter from the Storm and Monadnock Day Care/Early Learning Center.
