Plan for terrorist is no path to peace
To the editor:
Would you be angry if the following individuals, in the interest of peace, were released: Ramzi Yousef, mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman, the “Blind Shiekh” former leader of Egyptian Islamists, Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed, the planner of 9/11, all current Guantanomo prisoners, Uma Aldulmatallah, the “Underwear Bomber,” Major Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood shooter, and Dzhokhan Tsarnaev, the surviving Boston Marathon bomber?
This idea is based on the actions of Secretary of State John Kerry. Kerry has pressured Israel to release convicted terrorists as a sign of peaceful intentions. This same logic applies to America. Would it be a sign of America’s magnanimity and desire to end our war with Islamist terrorists, to release terrorists?
If tiny Israel, a nation of seven and a half million people, should release terrorists, then why not us?
