Mirror Mirror was great success

To the editor:

The Monadnock Community Early Learning Center would like to thank all involved in our successful Mirror, Mirror On The Wall art auction. More than 40 local artists supplied beautiful one-of-a-kind creations, and a dozen local businesses displayed their work prior to the auction. Our wonderful volunteer auctioneer, Bruce Cobb, did a fantastic job announcing each piece and encouraging folks to bid.

Specifically, we’d like to thank the following businesses for their support: Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce, Jaffrey Civic Center, Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, Steele’s Stationers, and Sterling Golf Management Inc., and the staff of the Shattuck Golf Club. Our contributors included Apollo Steel LLC, Appropriate Solutions Inc., Belletetes Inc., Bellows-Nichols Agency Inc., Cheryl and Stanley Fry, Daffodils Flowers and Gifts, Kitty Carlton, Louise Guion, Monadnock Paper Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Hart, New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Newport Sand & Gravel Co., Inc., People’s United Bank, Robert and Patricia Boyd, S. E. Bogdan Custom Built Fly Reels, and Westwind Entertainment LLC. Through the generous donations from these businesses and individuals, along with our artists, and local businesses that displayed our mirrors to encourage publicity, and those who bid on the artwork, our fundraiser successfully raised approximately $3,500 for the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center. Thank you again to everyone who helped, donated, participated, created, and purchased — your kindness is appreciated by all of us on the Board of Directors for the MCELC and its staff, teachers and students.
