Auxiliary gave boost to MCH

To the editor:

Every year at Old Home Days, the residents of Hancock show their support of Monadnock Community Hospital through an incredible bake sale organized by the Hancock Hospital Auxiliary.

Peg McLeod leads the effort, and with the help of the Auxiliary members and 71 callers, hundreds of delicious items are donated to the event. The funds are used to purchase needed instruments and equipment for the hospital. Old Home Days is a great demonstration of what community means – people helping people, and having fun for a good cause.

The Hancock Auxiliary was started in January of 1924 and today is the only remaining hospital auxiliary in MCH’s primary service area. We are so thankful for the longevity of their service and their dedication to our hospital. On behalf of Monadnock Community Hospital, I thank Peg McLeod, the Auxiliary members and callers, and the residents of Hancock for your loyal support and for keeping the bake sale tradition alive.
