Puerto Rico still needs help

To the editor :

Two months now, after the devastation of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, the ongoing medical care crisis, food shortages, and school closings have forced hundreds of families to seek refuge “stateside.”

Dozens of Puerto Rican families have sought shelter with Massachusetts relatives in communities such as New Bedford, Lowell, and Leominster. These families need winter clothing! Can we collect coats and winter wear here in greater Peterborough? Are there any churches or social service groups who are willing to organize a clothing drive? The old armory might be an excellent collection center. Thank you.
