Conant wins on road

Boys basketball

Conant kicked off its five-game road trip by beating Monadnock 71-48 on Monday night. The Orioles got 17 points from junior forward Nate Wheeler, who was 5-for-5 from the line and grabbed five boards. Senior guard Rob O’Brien also scored 17, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Senior forward Eli Hodgson had a double-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Senior guard Kyle Carland scored 12. Conant (11-1) travels to Raymond (3-7) on Friday night.

∎ ConVal lost to Hanover 74-51 on Monday night. The Cougars were led by sophomore guard and sixth man Adam Lundsted, who scored 11 points off the bench. Junior forward Will Chambers chipped in 10. ConVal (1-10) hosts Hanover (6-3) for a rematch Friday night at 7 p.m.

∎ WLC lost to Sunapee 70-61 Tuesday night. The Warriors were led once again by junior Jordan Litts, who scored 31 points and snagged 14 boards in the loss. Sophomore Duncan Rae scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. James Fitzgerald scored 21 for the Lakers. WLC (5-6) travels to Newmarket (7-4) tonight; Newmarket beat WLC 57-55 back on Jan. 24.

∎ Mascenic lost to Campbell 61-38 Tuesday night. Jared Stauffeneker scored 12; Daimon Gibson and Shane Rautiola each scored seven. Zach Bergeon scored 22 for Campbell. The Vikings (3-6) travel to Monadnock (2-9) on Friday to take on newly-minted 1,000-point scorer Isaiah Prince and the Huskies.

Girls basketball

∎ ConVal lost to Hanover 60-35 on Tuesday night. Senior Jess Nerz scored 12 points to lead the Cougars. She also tallied seven assists. Megan Buydos added four points and six rebounds. ConVal (4-7) travels for a rematch with Hanover (8-2) on Saturday.

∎ Mascenic lost to Campbell 59-35 on Tuesday night. Senior Cheyanne Sauvola had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds; Sarah Sharp scored 11 and Megan Brand scored seven. The Vikings (2-9) host Hinsdale (11-0) tonight at 7 p.m.

∎ Conant beat Monadnock 52-35 on Tuesday night. Sarah Gonsalves had 22 points and 11 rebounds; Katie Chadbourne scored 15 with five boards and Heather Bilodeau had 10 rebounds. Conant (6-8) hosts Raymond (6-5) on Friday night at 7 p.m.
