Former ConVal Nordic skier Dennis Page had quite a weekend in a pair of challenging races.

On Sunday, Page competed in the 17th annual ‘Ski to the Clouds’ race up the Mt. Washington Auto Road for the first time and finished 11th overall in one hour, two minutes and 33 seconds. The 10-kilometer race, thought to be North America’s toughest winter 10-km race, includes a climb of more than 2,200 vertical feet over the final 6 km.

On Saturday, Page won the 25-km Burt Kettle Classic race at the 16th annual Rangeley Lakes Lopett in Rangeley, Maine with a time of 1:25:57.6. It was Page’s second win in the event over the last three years and he also took second last year. This year’s victory came by more than 10 minutes over the second place finisher.

On Feb. 24, Page competed in the Flying Moose 20-km at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine and finished 12th out of 53 racers with a time of 1:14.57.

Page, 2009 graduate of ConVal and current senior at Dartmouth College, also finished runner-up at the 3rd annual Nansen/Milan 15km on Jan. 27. He was 21st and second for his age group at the 9th annual White Mountain Classic 30-km on Jan. 26.
