Have you ever wondered where Olympic swimmers get their start?

Most likely they got those first few lessons at their local pool from an experienced lifeguard working a summer job.

And after Adams Pool in Peterborough got a much needed renovation this spring, swim lessons are in full swing until the middle of August.

The ages and levels range, but the attention to detail is as consistent as the strokes learned once the session is over.

Learning how to swim is something that everyone should learn. It is one of those skills that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

And who knows, one day a swimmer from Peterborough could become an Olympic champion because of the introductory classes they took as a child.
