The Monadnock Ledger-Transcript is committed to providing our readers with what they need to actively participate in community life. You can help by sending us your news. Letters to the editor and press releases may be brought to our office or submitted by e-mail, by fax, or by regular mail. Wedding information, engagement announcements, and calendar items may be submitted to us on-line, using the appropriate forms.
We welcome letters to the editor on matters of public interest. No letters about candidates for public office will be published the week before an election, except those correcting errors in the preceding week's letters. Length should be limited to 300 words. All letters are subject to editing and condensing. Letters must include full name and town of residence, for publication, and a telephone number for verification. All letters are verified, usually by phone, before publication. Click here for the form.
We welcome information about your organization or upcoming event. You may bring them to our office, e-mail them to us or send them by fax or mail. If you send us a press release, please keep in mind these guidelines. All items should be written in the third person, and should be factual rather than opinion-based, and be free of extraneous words or inflated imagery. Please use upper and lower case letters (not all-capitals). Be sure to include time, place, date, and town for a particular event. And be sure to read your material over to check that all information is correct prior to sending it in. Click here for the form.
