DublinVideo workshop planned

“Video Marketing and Broadcasting,” a workshop being presented Jan. 25 at the Dublin Community Center, will explore how to use video as part of marketing. The 2.5-hour, interactive event begins at 6 p.m. and is designed for small business owners, nonprofits, and creatives to learn the why and how in using video to showcase their personality, build relationships and, ultimately, gain followers and potential customers.

Presenters are Christine Halvorson of Halvorson New Media (HalvorsonNewMedia.com), a social media strategist who has worked with clients large and small since 2006, and Nanette Perrotte (www.nanetteperrotte.com) a jazz singer, yoga facilitator, jazz presenter and a lifestyle coach for healthy habits and creativity. The two are based in Hancock and Greenfield, respectively.

Topics include what equipment is needed, best practices for shooting videos that get noticed, and free or inexpensive tools to make the process easier. Participants will learn to broadcast from a Facebook Business Page, Personal Profile, Instagram, YouTube and/or SnapChat. Some familiarity with a Facebook Business Page is helpful.
