Support local news
Dear Editor,
At its December meeting, our book club discussed how lucky we are to have a high-quality,
local newspaper, “just imagine if we didn’t have the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript!” We hear of small towns losing their papers throughout the country. The following week, there were two articles in the paper about how we can support local news through the 501(c)(3) Granite State News Collaborative. I took this as a sign to put my money where my mouth is! My husband and I signed up for a quarterly donation to support our paper. It is so easy, and we directed 100% of our tax-deductible gift to the MLT. I hope many other readers will consider joining us in this effort. If we all do our little bit, we will make sure that we have a local paper for years to come.
