The ConVal boys and girls indoor track teams competed Saturday, Jan. 3, at Plymouth State University in their third meet of the season, with several athletes posting personal bests. The ConVal boys finished fifth out of 13 teams with 32 points.

Junior Griffin Schultz led ConVal with 14 points, placing third in the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches, and finishing second in the 300-meter dash with a time of 37.28 seconds. Senior Ross Stephens won the 600-meter dash in 1:24.90, earning 10 points and finishing more than six seconds ahead of the runner-up. His winning time currently ranks 50th among high school athletes nationwide.

Junior Marcus Jordan placed fifth in the 600-meter dash in 1:42.08, while junior Morly Johnson took third in the shot put with a throw of 42 feet, 9 inches, earning six points.

On the girlsโ€™ side, senior Whitney Adair recorded a time of 1:51.99 in the 600-meter dash, meeting the qualifying standard required to compete in the event at later-season meets.

ConVal will return to competition next Sunday at the University of New Hampshire.
