The Greenfield Fire Department celebrated the accomplishments of five members at the Tuesday night meeting of the department. Billy Lawhon, Eugene Hennessy, Michael Heddy and Sam Tarplin all recently received their advanced EMT certification, and Kate Howton received her basic EMT certification.
Hennessy, who is a professional firefighter in Merrimack, has been with the GFD for 10 years. Lawhon, who has been with department for 18 months, is a professional firefighter in Concord. Tarplin has been with the Greenfield department for two years, Heddy, for four years, and Howton, for six months.
Fire Chief Chaz Babb said the department is โall about the training.โ

We are really fortunate to have a fantastic crew of dedicated volunteers and individuals who are totally committed to creating the best department we can.โ
