ConValโ€™s indoor track and field team competed at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday, Jan. 11, with the boys finishing fifth out of 11 teams and the girls placing eighth.

The boys scored 32 points, led by junior Griffin Schultz, who accounted for 18 of those points. Schultz won the 55-meter dash in 6.85 seconds for 10 points and added eight more with a second-place finish in the high jump at 5 feet, 9 inches. Junior Morly Johnson contributed 10 points by winning the shot put with a personal-best throw of 44 feet, 6ยพ inches. Junior Bretton Davies rounded out the scoring for ConVal with a fourth-place finish in the long jump at 17 feet, 6ยฝ inches, earning four points.

The girls scored eight points overall. Senior Whitney Adair led the team with a third-place finish in the 600-meter dash, crossing the line in 1:50.08 to score six points. The 4×400-meter relay team of Adair, sophomore Berkley Bates, senior Sara Mackie, and junior Callie Post placed fifth in 5:04.23, adding two points.

In addition, Postโ€™s individual performance in the 600 meters (2:03.03) met the qualifying standard, making her eligible to compete in late-season championship meets.
