Protest continued in the Monadnock region by residents who say ICE actions in Minneapolis are a government overreach.

Last Friday, people rallied at the Route 101/202 stoplights in Peterborough in solidarity with the Minneapolis โ€œICE out for goodโ€ day of protest. The nationwide day of action, supported by unions, churches and other organizations, called for student and worker walkouts as well as business closures to oppose U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In Hancock on Saturday, about 50 people braved cold temperatures to light candles in a memorial for Alex Pretti, the Minneapolis man who was fatally shot by federal agents that morning. Prettiโ€™s death has become a focal point for protests and vigils across the country.
