The silent film comedy “Girl Shy” (1924), starring Harold Lloyd, will be shown with live musical accompaniment Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Town Hall Theatre in Wilton.
The family-friendly Valentine’s Day screening is free and open to the public. A donation of $10 per person is suggested to support the Town Hall Theatre’s silent film programming.
“Girl Shy” stars Lloyd as a timid young man from a small town whose book about imaginary romantic conquests collides with reality when he falls in love and must stop his beloved from marrying the wrong man. The film’s climactic race to the altar is considered one of the great chase sequences of the silent era.
Live music will be performed by silent film accompanist Jeff Rapsis.
