The Jaffrey Civic Center announces a new program, A Taste of Art: A Free Monthly Art Workshop Series.
The first workshop, “A Taste of Art: Cloth Printing,” will be held Sunday, March 1, from 12 to 2 p.m. Artist Kristen Dettoni will lead the hands-on session exploring block printing and repeating patterns on fabric.
The workshop is open to beginners and experienced printers. Participants will carve block stamps, experiment with color and composition, and print on fabric. Attendees will leave with printed napkins or tea towels and may bring their own new or upcycled textiles for printing.
Cookies and tea will be provided.
The program is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. Registration is available through the Jaffrey Civic Center website or by phone or email.
