Dublin School will present the off-Broadway musical “Alice by Heart” Friday and Saturday, March 6 and 7, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in the Fountain Arts Theater on the Dublin School campus.
Written by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, with co-writer Jessie Nelson, the musical is inspired by “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” Set during the London Blitz, it follows Alice Spencer and her friend Alfred as they shelter in an underground tube station and escape into literature as war upends their lives.
The production is directed and choreographed by Jenny Foreman, with musical direction by Zach Redler and technical direction by Sophie Luxmoore. The cast and crew include local and boarding students, joined by live musicians.
