Dublin School’s upper Memorial Field will host the Monadnock Summit Ultimate Tournament on Saturday, April 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring teams from across New England.
The tournament is sponsored by Roy’s Market.
Participating schools include Four Rivers Charter Public School, Pomfret School, Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School and Dublin School. The round-robin tournament will take place across two fields, with games beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by additional rounds at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. A lunch break is scheduled between the morning and afternoon sessions.
Each matchup will run to a set time limit, with halftime breaks and “hard cap” end times to keep the schedule on track.
Ultimate frisbee combines continuous movement similar to soccer with the passing and scoring style of football, as teams advance a flying disc into an end zone. The sport is also known for its emphasis on “Spirit of the Game,” a tradition of self-officiating and sportsmanship at all levels of competition.
Spectators are welcome throughout the day.
