Buster Keatonโ€™s silent comedy โ€œSteamboat Bill Jr.โ€ (1928) will be shown Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the Town Hall Theatre in downtown Wilton.

The screening is free and open to the public, with a suggested $10 donation to support the theaterโ€™s silent film programming.

The film stars Keaton as the son of a riverboat captain who must prove himself amid a business rivalry and a destructive cyclone. The movie is known for one of cinemaโ€™s most famous stunts, in which a building faรงade collapses around Keaton, who narrowly escapes injury.

Live accompaniment will be provided by Jeff Rapsis, a New Hampshire-based musician who improvises scores for silent films to recreate the original theater experience.

The Town Hall Theatre is located at 40 Main St. For more information, call 603-654-3456.
