Debbie Deaton, the town administrator of New Ipswich, has resigned from her post, according to Select Board Chair Jason Somero.

“The board thanks her for her 10 years of service in the various positions that she’s held,” Somero said in an email. “Her hard work, energy and love for her town are appreciated and will be remembered.”

New Ipswich is searching for a replacement. The Select Board hired John “Jack” Wozmak through a Plymouth-based consulting firm, Municipal Resources Inc., to serve as interim town administrator during that time.

Wozmak will staff the office on Mondays and Thursdays.
