The ConVal boys and girls track and field teams competed in their end-of-season invitational meet against Conant, Monadnock and Milford, with the girls placing second and the boys third in the four-team field.
For the girls, sophomore Larianna Trudel won the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 29.03 seconds and also turned in a strong performance in the 400. Freshman Sunya Nikitina recorded a personal-best throw of 70 feet, 10 inches in the discus, while sophomore Varya Nikitina placed second in the 300 hurdles with a personal-best time of 54.97 seconds. Senior Whitney Adair won the 800.
Sophomore Davia Porter posted a personal-best 24-7 in the shot put, where senior Alia Dodge placed third. ConValโs 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams each finished second. Senior Amelia Blanchette took third in the javelin, and sophomore Amelie Davis placed third in both the long jump and 300 hurdles.
For the boys, junior Jack Telofski won both the 110 and 300 hurdles despite falling near the finish of the 300. Junior Ethan Whitaker won the javelin after also posting personal-best times in multiple running events. Junior Griffin Schultz ran 50.79 seconds to win the 400, while junior Bretton Davies placed third in the 400 and second in the long jump.
Junior Wetu Selby finished third in the 100 in 11.77 seconds, and junior Dawson Ladebauche ran a personal-best time to place third in the 200. Freshman Will Ricaurte finished third in the 110 hurdles, and junior Vinny Hollenbeck placed third in his 1,600 debut.
ConVal will compete in the Division II state championship meet Saturday, May 30, at Londonderry High School.
