Monadnock Community Hospital will host a free Health & Wellness Seminar on Advance Directives at 5:30 p.m. June 11 in the Wellness Center Conference Room in Peterborough. The public seminar will explain Advance Directives, legal documents that outline a person’s healthcare wishes if they are unable to communicate.

Presenters will discuss how the documents are used by emergency responders and healthcare providers, legal and practical considerations, and strategies for starting end-of-life conversations.

Speakers include Michael Greenough, EMS coordinator and emergency preparedness specialist; Karen Langley, LICSW, social worker; Molly Rajaniemi, compliance and patient experience officer; and Lucas Shippee, DO, of Monadnock Internal Medicine.

A free notary will be available after the presentation for attendees who wish to complete Advance Directive documents that evening. “Completing an Advance Directive is one of the most straightforward things a person can do to protect themselves and their family,” Rajaniemi said. The seminar is free, but registration is encouraged. Information and registration are available at AD Seminar-2026.Eventbrite.com.
