Monadnock Peer Support has received $5,500 in grant funding to support free mental health programs in the Monadnock region, the organization announced Thursday.
The agency received $5,000 from the Town Fair Tire Foundation and $500 from More Than a Thrift Store, a local nonprofit retailer.
Monadnock Peer Support, founded 30 years ago, provides free, non-clinical, peer-led mental health services. The funding will support ongoing programs, including life skills training, recovery education, and community connection services aimed at individuals managing mental health challenges, poverty, homelessness, and social isolation.
The Town Fair Tire Foundation was established in 2000 by Neil Mellen and funds health, educational, and human service organizations across New England.
More Than a Thrift Store, located on Ralston Street in Keene, donates 100% of its net sales to regional charities, contributing tens of thousands of dollars to local community groups since opening in 2011.
