New Hampshire’s fall hunting seasons launch Sept. 1 with the opening of black bear, gray squirrel, and resident Canada goose seasons, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Archery seasons for white-tailed deer and wild turkey follow on Sept. 15, while the statewide resident Canada goose hunt runs Sept. 1–25.
Deer hunting continues later in the autumn, with muzzleloader season running Oct. 31 through Nov. 10, followed immediately by regular firearms season starting Nov. 11. Both archery and firearms deer seasons will close one week early in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) A. Hunters can also take an additional bear in WMUs C1, D2, E, and F with the purchase of a secondary tag. Shotgun turkey season will run Oct. 12–18 in designated units.
