Monadnock Peer Support has received a $1,000 grant from the Keene Kiwanis Foundation to launch Monadnock Youth Connect, a pilot peer support initiative for middle and high school students across the Monadnock region.
The program is designed to give young people safe, welcoming spaces for connection, mutual support, and non-clinical mental health discussion. This grant marks the second consecutive year of funding from the Keene Kiwanis Foundation for the agency’s youth programming efforts.
Monadnock Peer Support has provided free, peer-led mental health support to adults in the region for 30 years. The new youth initiative adapts its established non-clinical model to help younger participants build connections and address mental wellness early in life. More information about programming is available at monadnockpsa.org.
