Peterborough’s town administrator, Nicole MacStay, was placed on administrative leave.

Select Board Chair Tyler Ward confirmed the leave on Friday morning but would not disclose why or how long the leave will remain in effect. Ward said he couldn’t comment on personnel matters.

The Select Board will hold a non-public meeting at 4 p.m. this evening under RSA 91-A:3, II(a), which applies to personnel matters involving the “dismissal, promotion, or compensation of any public employee or the disciplining of such employee, or the investigation of any charges against him or her.”

The town website does not list where the non-public select board meeting will be held.

MacStay could not be immediately reached for comment.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
