The All Saints’ Choir will present Choral Evensong on Sunday, March 9, at 5 p.m. at All Saints’ Church, 51 Concord St., Peterborough, to mark Women Composers Sunday, held near International Women’s Day.
The program features works by American and Canadian women composers, including Sarah MacDonald’s “2nd Service (Magnificat & Nunc dimittis),” Karen Marrolli’s “To Dust,” chant tunes by Maxine Thévenot and Patricia Van Ness, and a setting of a Madeleine L’Engle poem by ZebulonHighben. The service concludes with Jeanne Demessieux’s “Choral Paraphrase on Attende Domine.”
The event is free and open to all.
