Letter: Climate Cafe need

Published: 06-04-2024 12:30 PM

Twenty people attended the first Climate Cafe in Peterborough, which was held at Peterborough Town Library. This start of this involvement was facilitated by Lisa, who will be a salutatorian at ConVal's 2024 graduation ceremony. Lisa and five of her high school friends were part of the group discussion. Each attendee spoke about the disturbing changes they have seen in our local climate over their lifetime.

Please keep your eyes and ears open for follow-up meetings on the prevalent issue of climate and what we can do in keeping ahead of Earth's demise. Places and groups who want to gather for these circles of togetherness with intellectual and feelings of concern are being set and formalized to carry forth. Other groups have been formed in other places, and this is envisioned to be happening everywhere.
