Drumming for relief in the Philippines

PETERBOROUGH — Namory Keita of Lyndeborough will share high-energy drum music from Guinea, West Africa, during a fundraising benefit for disaster relief in the Philippines for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan. The event will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. Proceeds will be sent to Kids International Ministries. A donation of $10 is suggested. Keita comes from the village of Sangbaralla, where he led the drumming for festivals around the year. Also drumming at the fundraiser will be Loa Keita of Lyndeborough, Ult Mundane of New Ipswich, Shana Brautigam of Rindge and Hallel Parsons.
