KeeneEarth Festival set

The Monadnock Food Co-op and Antioch University New England will hold Monadnock Region Earth Festival on April 23, from noon to 4 p.m.

The free event will take place outdoors – next to the Co-op – and along the bike path, leading to the Railroad Square Park. The festival will be an opportunity to connect directly with local organizations, farmers and artisans.

Activities include crafts with the Monadnock Waldorf School, earth prayer flag making with the Orchard School & Community Center, face painting at Railroad Square, and seed planting with the Cheshire Children's Museum. Celeste Longacre will demonstrate how to make fermented products. Individuals can also make their own Earth Day pledge and receive a free lip balm.

The event will also feature an art exhibit and food from The Farm food truck will be available for purchase. There will be live music, including the Solar Sisters. A bicycle tour will start at 1:15 p.m. at the Co-op. An insect walk for children and families, presented by the Harris Center for Conservation Education, will start at 2 p.m. at the Co-op.
