A Bennington man was airlifted after his truck crashed into a tree in Greenfield on Saturday. Emergency personnel responded to Sawmill Road at 10:01 a.m., where a silver GMC pickup truck had left the road, hit a tree, and sustained heavy front end damage. Operator Harold Clow, 78, of Bennington was airlifted from the scene by helicopter, Greenfield Police sergeant Frank Shea said, but was unable to disclose the nature or extent of Clow’s injuries. Greenfield police, Greenfield Rescue, and Wilton Ambulance personnel responded to the scene. The truck was towed.
