Monadnock International Film Festival brings the “Best of Fest” to Peterborough Community Theatre on Sunday, April 23. After three days of films in Keene, April 20-22, the festival will wrap up in Peterborough with a screening of the Jonathan Daniels Award winning film, “What Tomorrow Brings,” as well as the 2017 Festival’s three Audience Choice film winners which will be voted on by film-goers in Keene on Saturday.

“What Tomorrow Brings” is a film about a girls school in a remote village in Afghanistan. Massachusetts filmmaker, Beth Murphy, followed the first class of girls for seven years, up to their high school graduation. “The film is beautiful, powerful, and inspiring,” said MONIFF executive director, Dianna Costello. “We are proud to honor Beth Murphy with the Jonathan Daniels award which is being sponsored by the new Jonathan Daniels Center, Keene. It’s important to show how and why valuing girls from a very young age, has positive ripple effects throughout society.”

Sunday One-Day Passes for the “Best of Fest” in Peterborough are available at moniff.org. The 95-seat theatre will sell out quickly. The first show will be at 2:00, with the other three films screened directly after. Passes are only $25 for all four films.
