Managing Director Jason Nero cut the ribbon Aug. 15 for the Nero Wealth Group, a financial management firm, in an opening ceremony for his business and renovated space on 2 Mountain Road in Rindge.

Nero, who is both the managing director and senior wealth advisor for the firm, said the doors have been open since October 2022. The business works to provide a “full, encompassing, holistic” financial plan for individuals or businesses, including investment strategies geared toward a client’s retirement goal, helping save on taxes and building a proper estate plan.

Nero is originally from the Midwest, but moved to New Hampshire in 2004 after meeting his wife Kara, who is from the area. He has a degree in business finance and management, but said for about eight years after moving to New Hampshire, due to health concerns related to one of his sons, he worked in the construction sector before an opportunity arose with the Rindge office of investment firm Edward Jones doing individual investment and retirement planning.

“It was a great fit for me, at that time,” Nero said.

Nero became a general partner in the firm in 2020, and was overseeing 55 other offices in New Hampshire. He said he had gotten to the point where he wanted to offer different avenues and services to his customers, and was ready to operate his own, independent office. He left Edward Jones, and affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

In February 2022, he purchased 2 Mountain Road, the former home of Candice Starrett Real Estate. Before opening his doors in October, Nero did a complete renovation of the interior.

“A majority of our clients followed us, in which we feel very blessed. Since then, we’ve really increased our client base. It’s been going really well,” Nero said. “Which has given us the ability to be more involved with our client’s day-to-day finances, whether it’s in regards to estate planning, tax planning, investment advising and legacy planning. Our strength is that we love to have a one-on-one relationship with our clients. It gives us extra time to spend on our clients’ goals, their aspirations, enhance their outlook and help identify their purpose and live it out.”

Nero currently has two full-time employees, Jennette Aho and Amy Holombo, who work as client wealth administrators. He anticipates adding a third employee, a financial manager, in September, and a fourth within the next six to eight months.
