What are two issues you think are important and how would you address them?

During the last three years the Town Clerk’s position has made many changes and improvements. Our computers have been upgraded to handle increased cyber security and safeguard of private information. As requirements become stricter and more complex, I will work to find opportunities to satisfy these requirements while working to keep the small community feel of the Town Office. I have worked with both the Library and the Police Department in order to keep important programs, such as “Baby Book Bags!” and the ability to reunite dogs with owners, going while protecting your private information. Your right to privacy and the security of information is an important issue to our office.

Documentation and Historic Preservation of the archives is an area that I am passionate about and have spent many hours working on. There are new storage systems to ensure the preservation and organization of our town’s important documents, including cemetery records, birth, death, and marriage records as well as town government and historical data.
