A two-car crash on Route 202 in Jaffrey Tuesday, Aug. 2, resulted in minor injuries.
Jaffrey Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Peterborough Street at approximately 8:59 a.m. According to police, Irving Taylor, 68, of Emery Road was attempting the cross the intersection onto Peterborough Street in a blue 2008 GMC pickup truck when he failed to yield and crashed into Katherine Bauer, 34, of Main Street in her silver 2017 Kia Optima.
Jaffrey-Rindge Ambulance arrived on the scene shortly after the crash to give Bauer and Taylor a medical evaluation. Both operators sustained minor injuries and signed off medically to not be transported to the hospital.
Bauer’s vehicle sustained significant damage to the front right corner from a displaced tire and denting to the right rear corner. Taylor’s vehicle sustained damage to the front driver side. Both cars were towed away by Gauthier Auto Services LLC due to disabling damage.
Lt. Christopher LaBrecque said he’s proud of his team of first-responders for swiftly taking care of the incident.
“We are able to work quickly to clean up the roads, and good thing nobody was hurt,” said LaBrecque.
