There were no injuries in a crash on Route 137 in Jaffrey that left the vehicle partially submerged in a marshy pond Tuesday afternoon.

At about 12:11 p.m., Jaffrey fire and police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 137, also known as North Street.

The driver, Bryan Newton, 63, of New Ipswich, appears to have lost control on steep curve around a swampy area, said Jaffrey police officer Jeremy LeBlanc at the scene of the crash. His 2004 Ford Crown Victoria left the roadway and hit the water, where it became partially submerged, but Newton was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the water and from the scene.
