RindgeChair dedication at Cathedral of the Pines for POWs

On Sunday morning, Cathedral of the Pines will dedicate a chair to represent soldiers held as prisoners of war or missing in action.

The dedication ceremony will be held at the Cathedral of the Pines, located on 10 Hale Hill Road in Rindge, with the ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. and lasting about an hour.

POW/MIA chairs are installed across the country, in both public and private locations, including in town halls, state capitols and sports arenas. The chair represents the service men and women who aren’t there to fill them because of the sacrifices made during their service.

The chair is typically marked by a United States flag and the POW/MIA flag, and a sash with the POW/MIA symbol.

The event is sponsored by Rolling Thunder Vermont Chapter 1, and Rolling Thunder New Hampshire Chapter 2 and Cathedral of the Pines.
