The ConVal School Board is scheduled to finalize a warrant article Tuesday for the high school’s proposed solar panel installation project.

The Peterborough Energy Committee is asking residents to attend and voice their support at the meeting on behalf of the warrant article.

“We want [the Board] to recommend this warrant article,” PEC member Dori Drachman said.

The proposed 300-kilowatt project would be operated by the ReVision Energy solar company, which would assume all costs of the project and provide the school district the option of a buyout, to capitalize on additional energy savings, after six years of operation.

In November, the board approved suspending the noncompetitive bidding process and proceeding with ReVision Energy as the sole source provider for the project, and authorized the superintendent to draft a nonbinding letter of intent for the project and to prepare a warrant article.

The solar project article is the last remaining warrant article for the board to vote on in advance of this year’s Annual School Meeting on March 10.
